Project Objective:

Converting  Zero-dose & low- immunised families for Routine Immunization in Urban Slums. The project is a social Engineering project which uses transgenders women as health communicators and intermediaries.

Background:

Poor health and low immunization among slum dwellers in Mumbra and Kausa stem from vaccine hesitancy, misinformation, poor healthcare access, and socioeconomic barriers. Many children remain zero-dose due to myths, fear, and a lack of awareness. Overcrowding, migration, and daily-wage dependency prevent families from prioritizing immunization. Limited health infrastructure and missing digital records further hinder vaccine follow-ups.
